### Our SMS Process

All vessels should have a Safety Management System (SMS). We apply several structured steps to ensure the safety of crew, passengers, and the vessel itself. Here's an outline of the typical process.

### Audit

We review the current SMS (if there is one), regulations based on the vessel size and operation, and the type and condition of the safety equipment on board.

### Report & Plan

We create a report on the results of the audit with a recommended plan to implement an appropriate SMS for the vessel.

##### 03.

### Implement

**Purchasing:** We replace any outdated safety equipment and buy all necessary gear as per the plan.

**Documentation:** Comprehensive documentation is added to the YMS and will include;

- Safety Equipment Type & Location
- Operating Manuals & Procedures
- Certificates & Licenses
- Logbooks
- Equipment Manuals
- Warranties
- Local authorities & contacts

### Maintenance

**Record Keeping:** Maintaining comprehensive records of safety-related activities, including inspections, drills, training, and incidents.

**Maintenance:** Implement regular inspections and maintenance of equipment.

**Review and Update:** Regularly update SMS based on reviews and changes in regulations or procedures.
